USCIS held a teleconference regarding EB-5 Immigrant Investor, the key points of the teleconference are:

I. EB-5 case processing times Currently, CIS takes five months to adjudicate form I-526 petitions, and six month to adjudicate I-829 applications.

II. Immigrant investors investment trend Approximately 90% of the individual form I-526 petitions filed each year are filed by alien investors who are investing inn regional center (RC) affiliated commercial enterprises.

III. EB-5 Individual Petition filing receipts and final action percentage In FY 2010, USCIS received 1727 EB-5 petitions, and 690 I-829 petitions. CIS currently has adjudicated 1424 I-526 petitions with 89% approval rate. CIS has adjudicated 305 I-829 petitions with 83% approval rate.

IV. EB-5 visa usage USCIS has issued 1886 EB-5 related green cards.

V. Regional centers USCIS has approved 114 regional centers (RCs), operating in 34 states, inclusive of the District of Columbia and Guam.
